Canonbury Square, London
PARTI were employed to restore a grade 2 listed building on Cannonbury sq. Built in 1806, the house still had many original features including working fireplaces, intricate plasterwork, and warped timber floor boards. Using historical research, PARTI took care in restoring the original features of the house. At the same time, PARTI designed careful ways to upgrade the services and create a house suitable for contemporary living.
Bespoke joinery was used throughout the house to mediate the sloped walls and floors of a building that has shifted dramatically over time. PARTI used the intricate joinery to employ various craft techniques to layer new textures onto the house, whilst maintaining its original proportions.
